SEO and GEO: rank on Google and in AI answers

We rank your website on Google and prepare it so assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity can read it, understand it and cite it.

More and more searches end without a click, with an AI-generated summary above the results or an answer from an assistant. SEO still brings the visits, and GEO, which means preparing content so AI retrieves and cites it, decides whether your brand appears in those answers.

What we solve

We review how Google crawls your website, which pages it indexes and which searches it shows up for, and that produces the plan: fix the technical issues, organize the structure and write the content that answers what your customers search for. That same work, with structured data and AI crawler access in place, is the foundation for ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity to understand and cite you. Tracking is done in Search Console, Google's tool that shows which searches you appear for, and in GA4, in the same report as the other channels.

  2. Which searches should you be found for?

    Keywords and structure

Searches with purchase or contact intent, assigned page by page, and a website structure that organizes them so they don't compete with each other.

  3. Does your content answer what people ask?

Content that ranks and gets cited

Service pages, categories, product pages and guides with direct answers and specific data, which is what ranks on Google and what AI cites.

  4. Can AI crawlers read you?

    The foundation for AI

  5. Do you know what organic traffic brings you?

Tracking in Search Console and GA4

How we work

  1. Fix the blockers first, then build

We start with the technical issues that keep you from ranking: pages Google doesn't index, duplicate content, broken redirects or a slow mobile site. Until that's fixed, new content performs worse.

  2. One page for each search

Each page answers a specific search and what the person searching expects to find. One page that answers is better than three competing with each other for the same query.

  3. Written for Google and AI at the same time

Direct answers, verifiable data and a clear structure. That's what ranks on Google and what an AI model can cite without reinterpreting it.

  4. Measured in visits and in business

Rankings and impressions show how the channel is doing; what matters is which organic traffic arrives and how much of it ends in a sale or an inquiry. It goes in the same report as the rest of your media.

Workstreams

Each workstream, in the order it opens

First we fix what holds you back, then we build what's missing, and finally we measure. These are the workstreams, with what you can expect from each one.

  1. 01

    Audit

    What holds you back, first

    • Technical audit

Crawling, indexing, mobile speed, duplicates, broken links and redirects. Ranked by what holds you back most and fixed in that order.

    • AI crawler access

GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot and Googlebot can read the website, and the content is in the HTML. If they can't read you, they can't cite you.

    • Structured data

The markup that tells Google and AI models what each page is: the company, a service, a product or a set of FAQs. It helps them understand you without guessing.

  2. 02

    Structure

    Which page for which search

    • Keywords by intent

Searches with purchase or contact intent, and the questions of people still deciding, grouped by the page that should answer them.

    • Architecture and internal links

Which pages the website has, how they link to each other and which one answers each search, so two pages don't compete for the same one.

  3. 03

    Content

    This is the work

    • Service and category pages

The pages that sell, rewritten for the search they target, with direct answers and specific data.

    • Guides and FAQs

Complete answers to the questions of people who are deciding: they rank for informational searches and are the kind of text an AI assistant can cite.

    • Product pages

Titles, descriptions and product data that Google understands and that answer what people ask before buying.

  4. 04

    Tracking

    Month by month

    • Search Console and GA4

Impressions, clicks and positions by page, and how much organic traffic ends in a sale or an inquiry. Every month, alongside the other channels.

    • AI visibility

Measuring whether ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity name you when someone asks about what you sell, and who appears instead, is the AI visibility service. See the page →

SEO and GEO in detail

SEO and GEO: what they share and what changes

SEO works to get Google to show you in its results; GEO, to get an AI model to retrieve you and cite you in its answer. They share almost all of the groundwork: a website that is easy to crawl, content that answers directly and data that can be verified. What changes is how you measure: on Google, position and clicks count; in AI, being named.

Technical comes first

A website Google doesn't index properly won't rank, however good its content. The audit reviews crawling, indexing, mobile speed, duplicates and redirects, and checks that AI crawlers can read the website and that the content is in the HTML, not behind JavaScript.

Content that answers a specific search

Each page is written for one search and for what the person searching expects to find: to compare, to understand or to hire. Service and category pages target searches with purchase intent; guides target the questions of people still deciding, which are also the ones most often asked to an AI assistant.

Timelines, and what can't be promised

SEO takes time: technical fixes show in weeks and new content in months. Nobody can guarantee a position on Google or a mention in ChatGPT; what can be done is fix what holds you back, publish what's missing and measure every month whether it moves.

Frequently asked questions

What we get asked most before we start working together. If yours is not here, just ask us.

  1. What is the difference between SEO and GEO?

SEO works to get Google to show you in its results and send you visits. GEO works to get an AI model like ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity to retrieve you and cite you in its answer. They share almost all of the groundwork, a website that reads well and content that answers directly, and that's why we handle them together.

  2. How long does SEO take to show results?

Technical fixes show in weeks, once Google recrawls the fixed pages. New content takes months to settle, longer in highly competitive industries. We measure from the first month to see movement even before it shows in sales.

  3. Do you guarantee the top position on Google?

No, and be wary of anyone who does. Google doesn't sell organic positions and changes its criteria several times a year. What we do give you is the work: fixing what holds you back, publishing what's missing and showing you every month what moved and why.

  4. How is it different from AI visibility?

SEO and GEO prepares the website and the content: so Google ranks you and AI can read and understand you. AI visibility measures whether you actually get named: it asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity your customers' questions, records who appears and works on the sources those answers use. They can be hired separately.

  5. Do you write the content?

Yes. We write it based on the searches for each page and on what you know about the product and the customer, which is what sets it apart from the competition's. You review it before it goes live.

  6. Does it work if my website is on Shopify or WordPress?

Yes. We work on the website you have, and if templates or development need changes, our web development team handles it. If the website itself is holding rankings back at the root, we show you the data before proposing to change it.
