Programmatic and CTV

Programmatic advertising: connected TV, display and video

Display, video and connected TV in premium environments. We reach qualified audiences with frequency control.

Connected TV does something traditional TV can't: it tells you who you reached and what happened next. We buy with a performance mindset in a channel that has historically been bought blind.

What we solve

We buy display, video and connected TV through DV360, with inventory on YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video and Spotify. We pick placements one by one and cap frequency per user, because high reach without that control stops adding up and starts wearing out the brand. Video is judged by its later effect on demand, not by views served.

How we work

  1. Premium environments

We buy on top-tier digital media and streaming platforms, with hand-picked inventory.

  2. Frequency control

We limit how many times each user sees the ad, so reach doesn't turn into saturation.

  3. Qualified audiences

We target by audience, not by the volume of impressions available.

  4. Optimizing for impact

Video isn't judged by views served but by what it drives afterward.

Formats

Each format, and what you can expect from it

Everything is bought through DV360, placement by placement, with frequency capped per user. These are the formats we run, by what each one is expected to do.

  1. 01

    Reach

Awareness on the big screen, in audio and on the street

    • Connected TV

The ad on the living room TV, inside ad-supported streaming platforms. Awareness with controlled frequency; measured by what happens next, not by clicks.

    • YouTube

Reach and consideration, bought through DV360 to choose placements one by one and control frequency alongside the rest of the campaign.

    • Digital audio

Audio ads on Spotify, with the same reach and capped-frequency logic as video.

    • DOOH

Digital out-of-home advertising on screen networks, planned by area and bought on CPM. For physical stores or a defined geographic area. No direct attribution.

  2. 02

    Follow up

Consideration and retargeting on premium media

    • Online video

Video on premium digital media, with a reviewed allowlist and category exclusions before a single impression is served.

    • Display

Banners on specific placements, not on an automated network: you decide the placement, the timing, the frequency and the environment.

  3. 03

    Control the environment

Where the ad runs, decided in advance

    • Direct deals and PMPs

Buying from specific publishers, with inventory agreed in advance. They usually have their own minimums, and the risk of ending up on a site you don't want is practically zero.

    • Allowlists and verification

Reviewed placements, category exclusions and environment verification. Controlled before serving, not after.

  4. 04

    Know what it added

    Measurement

    • Incrementality test

An exposed group against a control group, when volume allows. The only clean way to know how much the channel really contributed.

Programmatic and CTV in detail

What we buy and where

We buy through DV360, Google's programmatic buying platform: display, video and connected TV, with CTV inventory from YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video and ad-supported streaming platforms, plus audio on Spotify. We don't buy "the network": we buy specific placements, with a reviewed allowlist.

Frequency is the most neglected variable

A video campaign with good reach and no frequency cap ends up reaching the same person eight or ten times and missing someone who has never seen it: high cost and a brand memory that works against you. We set a cap per user and period from day one, and we review it during the campaign, not after it ends.

How to measure a channel that doesn't get clicks

Connected TV and video aren't judged by clicks: almost nobody clicks an ad on the living room TV. We measure what happens next: visits from the households reached, branded searches while the campaign is on air and view-through conversions within a window agreed in advance.

When it makes sense, and what changes by industry

Programmatic and CTV solve a demand problem, not a capture problem. If your branded search is untapped or your Search campaigns are still profitable with room to grow, that's where the easy upside is, and this channel isn't next yet. Saying so costs a sale and avoids a disappointment.

Frequently asked questions

What we get asked most before we start working together. If yours is not here, just ask us.

Another question? Write to us
  1. What is the minimum investment for a programmatic campaign?

The agency doesn't set it; the placements and deals do. Premium streaming inventory and direct deals with publishers usually have their own minimums, and below them there is no campaign. We check this during planning, with the specific placements in your plan, and tell you before you commit to anything.

  2. What's the difference between buying YouTube in Google Ads and buying it in DV360?

The inventory is largely the same; what changes is control and visibility. In DV360 you select placements one by one, apply allowlists and blocklists, control frequency across all of the campaign's channels and see the actual split of impressions by placement. For small accounts that difference doesn't justify the complexity; above a certain volume, it does.

  3. Can I know whether my ad ran on Netflix or Prime Video?

Yes. The report includes the split of impressions by placement, so you see where each impression was served and what each environment cost. It's one of the reasons to buy programmatically rather than on an automated network, where that detail isn't disclosed.

  4. How do I know it works if nobody clicks on a TV?

It's measured by what happens next, not by the click. The three signals we watch are visits from the households reached, the trend in branded searches while the campaign is on air and view-through conversions within a window agreed before launch. When volume allows, we propose an incrementality test with a control group, which is the only thing that measures the real contribution.

  5. Could my ad end up on a website I don't want?

It's the classic programmatic risk, and it's controlled before, not after. We work with reviewed placement allowlists, category exclusions and environment verification. On CTV and in direct deals the problem practically doesn't exist, because the inventory is closed in advance.

  6. Can DOOH be measured?

By reach and frequency over the area, not by direct attribution. Out of home there's no cookie or identifier, so nobody can tell you which sale came from which screen. What you can do is plan by impressions over a specific area and compare its behavior with an equivalent area without the campaign.
